A cat’s mouth is engineered by Mother Nature to eat other animals, not chew on cereal. These amazing obligate carnivores’ mouths tell us a lot about their nutritional needs.
Reverse engineering a mouse is a sensible way to think about formulating cat food. It makes more sense than feeding meat-flavored cereal.
Don’t be fooled by cat food labels boasting about Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs); check first to make sure the EFA source is actually bio-available to carnivores before letting yourself be too impressed.
